Cheers to My Amazing People + Confessions of a Design Junkie

I've got some beautiful people around me.

I've made some friends in my life that have come in and out. I've also made some that have come in, then out...and never returned. There have been few that i've ever really "Cut Ties" with. And the pain & insecurity that hit me after that....is still yet to be fully dissolved into my lessons learned. But it will go in a file between the "how-to-handle-breakups" and "what-happens-when-u-do-drugs" files.

I have to say that the people I have around me now are all mostly people that I have known for a very long time. People that sort of just faded away for a while, then surprisingly came back. Some my doing....because I arrived at a very vulnerable and emotional state and started reaching out for the people I had left behind. Some have been gone since then, some stepped back a bit, and some just reappeared like they had never left. Either way, I consciously reached out without the fear of what i was going to get and I have to say that the outcome has been a beautiful surprise.

All there is now is "You can do it...", people who support my every career move, people who push me to keep trying to explain my idea when I feel like I don't have the confidence to follow through, people who know what makes me light up - and direct me towards those things.

Each of these people are amazing and inspiring and I would never for a minute doubt them in any endeavor they take on...even if it's just being a good human being.

But enough sap. Time for the juice:

iiiiiiiiiiiiiiii am going to finally e-publicly admit..........despite my young age & the many other passions i have, I am a serious Interior Design/Architecture Nerd.

For at least 5 years I have been collecting Architectural Magazines, Home & Garden articles, clippings of my ideal rooms, watching EVERY HGTV show, and Antonio Ballatore (who won the most recent Design Star) is one of my idols.

I have narrowed down all of my favorite styles, colors, etc etc etc to basically have created a consistant vision in my head of what my ideal house would come out as.  For fellow Design Junkies, this is SOMETHING to get excited about. For my mom - or my best friend - this (literally) could put you to sleep:

SOOOOOOOO......
that's why i choose to share this little taste of my decor style in the form of a blog ;)

After much research, I've narrowed down my style to be something like this:
Spanish Revival meets Victorian Vintage meets Modern Eclectic

In my opinion, if you're going to pick and choose what to splurge on, it should be the things that bring you comfort: Bathroom, Kitchen, Bed, & SOME of your seating

(more to come)

The Beautiful....

Natasha Khan (of Bat for Lashes)
(meant to do this for so long)
I'm having trouble deciding on a background. First, I was going to leave it white like this. Then, i did a bunch of graphic black & white designs with some of the lyrics from her song, "Daniel" in a heart...but that looked to childish. I had to cut the image out and put it onto another background but i don't know if i'm liking the choppiness of it. I don't want to ruin it by doing too much more now.
.........hmmmmmmm.
WELL, we'll call this a rough draft.
